Finals. Presentation. Plane. Presentation. Plane...

It may sound like a typical day in the life of a startup CEO — and it is. But it was also the very real schedule of Jinjutha Saeung, a senior student at Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII), who juggled her final Capstone presentation with a flight to Washington D.C. to represent Thailand at the SelectUSA 2025 Investment Summit.

Her team's project? Eyequila — an AI-powered platform designed to protect and improve eye health through digital assessments and gamified exercises. What started as an idea in the Year 1 Project Seed class has since evolved into an award-winning health-tech innovation, shaped by four years of design thinking, trial and error, and unwavering commitment to user needs.

“Eyequila was born from personal pain points,” Jinjutha (BAScii003) reflects. “We were all struggling with screen time, so we set out to create something we’d actually use.” From scrapping their MVP to learning to prioritize the user’s perspective, her team’s journey embodies what innovation looks like in practice. “There were times we had to go back to the drawing board, but that’s where we grew the most.”

Her efforts — along with those of her teammates Natchanon Zheng and Kalyarak Kritpidhayaburana (both from BAScii003), Ratchanon Thanatsang (Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University), and Nivana Chaivoraprug (BBA, Thammasat Business School) — came together at the final Capstone Showcase at CSII. Their collaboration across programs, faculties, and even universities is a true example of how diverse skills and mindsets can unite to build something impactful.

The Road to SelectUSA

Just days later, Jinjutha took Eyequila to the international stage, pitching at the U.S.–Thailand Collaboration: Networking for Future Business Opportunities in Washington D.C., where she represented the next generation of Thai entrepreneurs alongside leaders from BOI, the Ministry of Commerce, Thai Union, CP, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Royal Thai Embassy.

The event, hosted by the Thailand Board of Investment and the Washington DC Economic Partnership, brought together senior government officials, U.S. business leaders, and Thai innovators to explore global expansion and investment opportunities. Jinjutha’s SelectUSA presentation stood out — not just as a student project, but as a serious solution in the future of digital health. “One of the highlights was getting to introduce both Eyequila and BAScii in front of such a high-profile audience,” she shared.

Also representing CSII was Professor Dr. Suchada Sukrong, CSII Executive Director, who joined the event to share CSII’s vision of shaping interdisciplinary innovators equipped for both local and global impact.

What's next?

Now, Eyequila is actively preparing for public launch, exploring both B2B and B2C models, with government support and ongoing client negotiations. But for Jinjutha, the journey has already been transformative. “Design thinking has been the most valuable skill I’ve gained. It’s more than a framework — it’s a mindset.”

At CSII, we’re proud to see our students take what they’ve learned and turn it into real-world impact. From classroom ideation to the global stage, Eyequila is a shining example of how BAScii students are redefining what’s possible. (And CSII is here to support!)
