The Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Max Ventures to incubate and invest in student projects and co-create businesses.

The agreement was signed by ScII Executive Director Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai and Mr. Rangsan Phuangprang, Authorized Director and Founding Project Director, Max Ventures Company Limited on August 25, 2022.

Max Ventures is a Corporate Venture Capital organization established by PTG Energy that aims to make strategic investments in potential startup companies in Thailand and overseas.

Highlighting the success story of ScII, Prof. Worsak stated that the school is unique due to its transdisciplinary curriculum, its dual-core of technology and entrepreneurship, its goal of equipping students with 21st-century skills, the cultivation of global citizens, and the provision of an open platform for collaboration. While Chulalongkorn University is comparable to a huge ocean cruise liner, ScII has been developed as a “speedboat project,” which grants it considerable flexibility and helps it function efficiently.

Mr. Sathipakorn Vibulprapan, Incubation Lead, MAX Ventures provided an overview of Max Ventures. Dr. Pietro Borsano, ScII Deputy Executive Director, Industrial and Global Alliances spoke about ScII’s partnership program and the joint ScII-Industry Scholarship program for international students.

Attending the event were Dr. Vanlapha Santithammarak, Chief Transformation Officer, PTG Energy, Mr. Sathipakorn Vibulprapan, Incubation Leader, MAX Ventures, and Ms. Vachiraporn Puhwachanakarn, Incubation Officer, Max Ventures. ScII was represented by Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Executive Director, Dr. Pietro Borsano, Deputy Executive Director (Industrial and Global Alliances), Dr. Ronnakorn Vaiyavuth, Faculty Member, Dr. Pakjira Leelertphan, Director of Academic Affairs, Ms. Thittaya Phodhipanyadhum, Secretary to the Executive Director, and Ms Patlapa Swaddee, Event Officer.
