Triple Win! BAScii Startups Secure DEPA Digital Startup Fund

Big congratulations are in order for our three BAScii startup teams — WorklaunchScotty, and Cupid.co — who have each secured 200,000 THB in funding through the 2025 DEPA Digital Startup Fund. Out of 126 teams from across Thailand, less than 30 were awarded the grant. These teams represented CSII in the Idea Stage track, impressing judges with their innovative solutions in education, smart living, and digital services.

The DEPA Digital Startup Fund, organized by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency, is a national initiative. It aims to empower early-stage startups through strategic funding and support. Additionally, by prioritizing digital innovation across key sectors, the program offers young entrepreneurs a valuable opportunity to validate their ideas and bring them closer to market.

💼 Worklaunch

Tackling the fresh graduate employment gap, Worklaunch — founded by Chaianun Uaramnueyporn, Kongpob Tonsopa, and Kawisara Saikeaw, all 4th-year BAScii students — is a data-driven talent platform that connects students with recruiters through real-world projects and AI-powered matching. While the waitlist is growing and the technology is pilot-ready, the team is on track to transform how young talent enters the workforce.

🔐 Scotty

This hands-free smart door lock uses Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband technology to let users unlock doors just by approaching them. No more fumbling with sweaty fingers or full hands - Scotty is redefining seamless access while improving accessibility and smart home convenience.

🎁 Cupid.co

Still struggling to find the perfect gift? Cupid.co, developed by Manasanan Kongkerdlap and Pinchutha Chongvilaigasame, takes the guesswork out of gift-giving with a smart AI-powered platform. Blending tech convenience with personal service via LINE chat, Cupid.co connects users to unique, customizable gifts from local shops - making every special occasion a little easier (and a lot more thoughtful).

From classroom concepts to real-world validation, these projects are showing that BAScii startups are more than ready to compete - and create lasting impact. While each venture varies in age, theme, and approach, they all represent the shared ambition and dedication of our students to drive real change. From talent platforms and smart home technology to AI-powered gifting, the diversity of ideas emerging from BAScii is as impressive as the drive behind them. Congratulations once again to all the student startups that secure DEPA Fund and mentors who supported them on this journey. As they prepare to graduate, CSII is excited to see where their innovation takes them next.

Keep an eye out — the next generation of Thai entrepreneurs is graduating BAScii and they are just getting started!
