The team secured 2nd place in the Thailand round and won the Grand Prize in the international final, showcasing their innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

You’d think a team called 'Chill Guy' would be all about taking it easy, but don't let the name fool you... When it came to project competition, this BAScii Year 1 team flipped the script and dominated on the global innovation stage!

With a mix of creativity, problem-solving skills, and determination, the team secured 2nd place in the Thailand round and, as a result, went on to win the Grand Prize in the international round of CP Cup 2024, showcasing their ability to compete on a global stage and develop ideas with worldwide impact. This impressive achievement was made possible by the dedication and teamwork of Worawee Thavarabha, Pawit Tiyawatchalapong, Natsinee Boonchuaythanasit, Nathathida Thammapala, Natnicha Wangjongrakkul, Ramipapha Usafapanus, Wisakha Laoroekutai, and Natcha Sadudemechaitavechoke - all first-year BAScii students who have only just completed their first semester at CSII. With this early success, they are already proving themselves as rising innovators, and this is just the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey!

What is CP Cup?

The CP Cup is a prestigious international business competition that challenges students to develop innovative, market-driven solutions inspired by real-world challenges from CP Group's diverse business sectors. Launched in China in 2016, the competition has grown significantly, attracting over 30,000 participants worldwide. The CP Cup provides a unique opportunity for students to step into the shoes of real entrepreneurs, while engaging in business strategy, marketing, and product innovation. After winning the national round, the top Thai teams advanced to the international finals, where they competed head-to-head with leading teams from China.

From Local to Global: The Winning Projects

In the national round, "Chill Guy" impressed judges with "Fortune Pork", a product designed to enhance the B2B food supply chain. Their concept focused on pre-prepared, authentic flavors that could reduce cooking time for restaurants while maintaining quality and taste. Through data-driven marketing and hands-on sales trials, the team demonstrated strong business viability and real customer engagement, earning them 2nd place nationally. Guided by Dr. Warinya Chemnasiri, CSII Faculty Member in Health and Wellbeing, the team refined their approach, ensuring their project addressed real-world consumer needs while maintaining a strong business case.

Afterwards, for the international final, the challenge intensified with a 24-hour business case challenge, where teams had to develop solutions on the spot. Once again, "Chill Guy" rose to the occasion, leveraging their strategic thinking, adaptability, and innovative problem-solving to stand out among 16,000 teams from Thailand and China. Competing under the challenge of creating an S-curve business for international market expansion, the team leveraged CPF and CPPC’s strengths to develop Tepka: From Kitchen of the World to Russian Local Community. Tepka is a B2B model connecting Local Kitchens (Cloud Kitchens run by locals) with consumers. It delivers freshly cooked, high-quality meals using temperature-controlled, eco-friendly packaging that also allows food waste separation. Their team's ability to analyze business challenges quickly and present viable, scalable solutions secured them the Grand Prize, including an exclusive trip to Beijing, China, and a cash reward of 50,000 THB.

CSII: Building Innovators from Day One

Winning an international business competition is no small feat - especially for first-year freshmen students. This success is a testament to CSII’s hands-on, project-based approach, which immerses students in real-world problem-solving from the start. Through competitions like CP Cup, BAScii students gain valuable entrepreneurial experience, industry exposure, and global connections - skills that will shape them into future business leaders and innovators.

In BAScii International Program learning goes beyond the classroom, and "Chill Guy" has shown that even in their first year, BAScii students are ready to compete - and win - on the global stage.

🚀 Congratulations to "Chill Guy" on this incredible achievement! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
